About this deal

Vanilla– I like to add vanilla to everything because I think it can make everything taste that muchbetter. Plus, we’re basically making cookie dough and this will help get us to that flavor. Vanilla Protein Powder– The vanilla protein powder helps provide some extra vanilla flavor, so I would recommend using that or even a birthday cake flavor protein powder if you happen to have one! First, line aloaf panwith parchment paper, leaving some of the paper hanging over the edges. This will allow you to easily remove the bars from the pan later on.

anxiety and depression (which is scary to me because I haven’t been depressed for nearly six years)

fridge– store in the fridge for up to a week in a tightly sealed container to keep the air out. If exposed to the air for too long, they will dry out some. Chocolate chips: In particular, I recommend using mini chocolate chips. If you have regular chocolate chips, roughly chop them so they are a bit smaller. Sugar free Maple Syrup: Regular maple syrup or Honey, but they won’t be Vegan or a no sugar recipe anymore.

Almond butter: Almond butter provides a creamy texture. Alternatively, you can use peanut butter or cashew butter. These bars cut easily, but can crumble. If you want smooth edges, I suggest setting the protein bars out at room temperature for 20-ish minutes. This will slightly soften them.Sunflower seed butter ~ to keep these birthday cake bars nut free I use a sunflower seed butter. If being nut free is not a concern for you, cashew butter and almond butter would be the next best choices. Use a natural "drippy" nut butter that just contains nuts {and salt}.

Sweetener is optional. However, honey adds a nice flavor (I definitely recommend using it) and is loaded with health benefits. For a Vegan option, I recommend using maple syrup. Vanilla Pea Protein

With only 200 calories per bar plus 3g of fiber and a whopping 15g of protein, these protein bars are everything you need when hunger strikes. And if those nutrition facts don’t scream “breakfast-worthy” I don’t know what does! I haven't tested this recipe using anything but pea protein, however most protein powders should work as a replacement. The protein powder flavor does come out in these bars, so if you don't like the taste of the protein powder you are using, then you probably won't like the way these bars turn out. (Just being honest!) These easy to make protein bars are made in one bowl and set in the fridge to firm. They literally take 10 minutes to make, you just have to wait a while for them to set.
