About this deal

Note: It was the Germans who invented the “Easter Bunny” who visited “good” children’s homes, much like they invented Santa Claus. I highly recommend this lovely book and its lovely treatment of the joyful anticipation and fulfillment of the Resurrection of our Lord - Easter is Coming.

But on further reflection, I realize that behind most of them is my fear of pain and my fear of regret. This story is truthful yet cute, and interactive by repeating certain phrases that kids will hopefully start to repeat with you as you start to flip through the pages. Mine had essentially mimicked the scrolling text of Lost Generation and The Truth, whereas Ben thought of constructing and deconstructing a paragraph. Essentially it means that creativity is not an isolated or individual process but rather comes about when ideas bump and collide with each other. Read to children by children, parents and grandparents, this book is a family tradition for generations to come. Tama weaves in and through this entire book the history of God’s story from creation and the dawn of time to the time of the prophets, the birth of Christ, His death, His resurrection, and ultimately all the way to today and how the celebration of the good news of Jesus’ resurrection is able to impact our everyday lives!

Our resources are designed to help kids develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus and to empower parents to guide them in their spiritual growth. by Tama Fortner is one of the best children’s books I have seen that fully explains God’s redemption plan in an easily understood, kid-friendly way.But so many people have reported enjoyed seeing and sharing this video that I thought I’d make it available a few days early.

We’ve got tons of Easter eggs to choose from which come in all sizes, from mini treats to giant eggs, and we have plenty of options for kids and adults. The book is simple enough so young listeners will not get overwhelmed yet it makes its impact and is beautifully written. If the kids are getting underfoot, we have plenty of ways to keep them entertained during the Easter holidays.

Second, a number of folks have asked me where the idea for Easter is Coming came from, including most recently a colleague who is teaching a course on media, culture, and the gospel. The book begins with Creation, shares the birth of Jesus and continues through to His death and the celebration of His resurrection. In a time when children’s Easter excitement often focuses on only egg hunts and candy, this book offers a different—and true—reason for joy and expectancy. So we try to tell them the beautiful yet horrific story of the betrayal, crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour. If interested – and if you have the time – you could probably freeze the video at the midpoint and transcribe it, but unfortunately that’s all I can offer. By the end of the book, the anticipation has built and the children can celebrate the ending and the glory of Easter Sunday. Mommy and her little ones settle in for storytime as she relates the biblical account of Christ's life, death, and resurrection! A special thanks to LifeWay for sending a complimentary copy of Tama Fortner’s book, Easter is Coming.
