About this deal

If you were bitten by Empire Of The Vampire, you’ll know what to expect; if not, here’s another beautifully constructed, epic maelstrom of high-stakes gore and adventure… Awesome. You still get all the juicy character interactions you have come to want from the series, but again, Empire of the damned follows a more old-school story structure and is setting up a considerable conclusion. Their relationship is heartbreaking and heart pounding to behold as they try and negotiate their meaning to each other, not daughter, not father, not mentor, not friend. While I loved the characters in the first book, I found myself adoring the ones introduced in book 2. Pursued by children of the Forever King, drawn into wars and webs centuries in the weaving, and ravaged by his own rising bloodlust, Gabriel may not survive to see the truth of the Grail revealed.

The words were a kind of magic, taking me by the hand and sweeping me into lands unseen, times unremembered, thoughts unimagined. However, he discovers secret writing in Laure's message indicating the vampires will actually invade via an unguarded mountain pass.I have always been a fan of vampires in the fantasy genre, and although I am glad many people loved Twilight, I have to say that I am slightly saddened by how it changed the way vampires are portrayed and assessed in the masses. The framing narrative utilized in Empire of the Vampire is more akin to The Ruin of Kings by Jenn Lyons. A huge thank you to HarperVoyager for sending me an ARC copy of 'Empire of the Vampire' by Jay Kristoff. Gabriel gathers all the nuns, monks, and blacksmiths in service to the Silversaints to stop the vampires.

First things first, the biggest thank you to Harper Collins for sending me a proof copy of this book. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. And yes, Gabriel is still telling this epic story to Jean Francois the vampire as he's held prisoner.
