About this deal

Each module only has a single port as the traditional link cable location has been repurposed for an on/off switch. It's actually entirely objective, in terms of the amount of tension you need to hold in the muscles connected to your shoulders, elbows, and wrists. The Kailh “Quiet” Pink incorporates sound dampening components to make them quieter than conventional mechanical switches, making it an ideal choice in open work environments where ambient noise is a concern.

The all-new Advantage 360 features our patented Contoured keyboard design now in a fully split form factor for even more ergonomic adjustability. The disadvantage is that the backlight will not shine through the keycaps; however, I also don't care much about backlighting, and I would care if they were RGB. The Advantage360 Pro may look big, but it actually has a smaller footprint than most keyboards because we eliminated the numeric 10-key so you can place the mouse closer to your body, reducing painful “over-reach”. The Advantage360 hardware is a solid upgrade over the Advantage2, which itself was more of an incremental improvement over the original Advantage.Building touch typing fluency, including syntax and commands for multiple applications, into muscle memory.

I noticed that when i use my macbook keyboard I don’t curve my wrists and instead my hand is just on the keyboard at an angle (wrist straight). Even if your keyboard lasts a week that means that once a week in the middle of something it just dies. It also comes with a refreshingly large number of extra keycaps to swap things around (or install MacOS-specific keys) and a keyboard bridge connector to emulate a fully solid board rather than one split apart. You can connect to the computer with the cable and use it like that, but all communication between sides is done wirelessly.

Hot-swap switch sockets are fast becoming the norm for mechanical keyboards, but Kinesis themselves admitted that they tried and couldn’t make that feature work with the 360 as the switches wouldn’t stay stable.Having just built a small PC after having used Macs for years, I was _astounded_ how reliant they are on plug-in keyboards. But on the other hand, I can appreciate how frustrating it can be when the advice is geared for people without injury, but presenting it as if it applies to everyone including those with injuries. Add layers, customize actions, and configure basic macros (ZMK supports basic text string macros of up to 32 characters).

Yes, all of this is in service of making the act of pressing down on a couple of buttons feel a bit more pleasant; it makes about as much sense as, say, making a bunch of miniature gears turn to tell time imperfectly. The company has fantastic support and now is battling a flurry of pop-up product managers offshoring me-too design and manufacturing. The 360 does have macro key which you can map to common function keys if you really don’t want to layer the function row.ZMK does not support onboard programming so users who rely on that feature may not be satisfied with the Pro. Now the bottom four keys on my right keywell are left, down, up, right (and I moved the square brackets to the left hand where the left/right were).
