About this deal

Haven't yet put those to use Aside from work, i've been messing around with the real life version of a 2-transistor buck converter, that's a part of the circuitry on that class-D amp board.

Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The switches will be mounted on the TOP of the switch pcb's, not on the bottom like in the 2200A's, for ease of (dis)assembly. I hear it's common in china to copy designs resulting in no one really knowing how they work and so they can't support any problems or questions for production. A 'phantom box' or other source of phantom is needed for the BM800 when used as a conventional XLR-XLR connected mic.The circuit is constructed of primarily surface-mount parts; the JFET and two electrolytic capacitors are through-hole components. MAYBE the boards might fit other similarly sized mics, but i'll leave that up to others to find out, if they're curious (Apex 480 perhaps? In case the inherent presence peak of the capsule turns out to be bothersome, the circuit and the board have the resistors in series with the output PNP bases, precisely to facilitate implementing Henry Spragen's solution for that. Couldn't care less, it will get removed anyway, to allow room for the cutouts for the pattern / pad / high-pass switches. Note: The Condenser Microphone only works with the device that could provide enough power(48V phantom power supply).

But the weird thing is that when I plug the microphone into the power supply and I check the voltage on the other side of the XLR input, the voltage drops to like 4. This effectively turns the balanced output of the mic into two channel mono unbalanced output on the 3.I’m building the Alice boards using through-hole components, so I needed a little more real estate than the original board provided. The 48V power supply will be very current limited to avoid destroying equipment, this limit is probably being hit. I'll have a batch of 10 of each of the 4 pcb's manufactured in China (hey, it's CHEAP ;D ), so it might take a good few weeks for actual physical results. It picks up finer details, that previous microphones I have used have missed, and there is minimal noise in the background. However, note that performance will vary on setup - you may also want to invest in a microphone pre-amp.
