I’ve had my Hi-Tec Ravine Walking Boots for several months now, so I’ve had the opportunity to wear them out and about a fair bit. I keep mine nice and tight, and found it really came in handy when I took a tumble – and I was very thankful that the good ankle support provided by the boots meant no sprained ankle!Ok, they went through streams, over the Yorkshire 3 peaks, up mountains and on as many dog walks that makes me lose count.

With my old walking boots, and even in my snowboarding boots, I find I get slight heel rise/rubbing, but with these boots, my feet stay in place, which means no rubbing and no painful blisters. It's 4mm wider at the forefoot compared to regular Meindl boots and incorporates a GoreTex membrane for waterproofing. Very disappointed, my original Ravine Boots gave me 3-4 years of service no problems hence the reason for purchasing same again.
