Toy blasters shoot balls or darts at targets that are designed to strike humans without hurting. They’re especially popular with older children, although many versions are safe for children ages 8 and up. Since the projectiles they shoot are soft in nature, they’re generally acceptable for indoor or outdoor use.

Handle at the bottom of the grip - I'm not completely sure what this does, but my assumption is that it is used for attaching a strap to the gun. If you already have a holster, which you'd have to make yourself, this part is completely useless. It is your choice to keep it. If you don't keep it, you'd have to create a filler, because it leaves two holes in the bottom of the grip. For example, both blasters feature a drop cylinder system that can hold up to six darts at a time. They both include only one tactical rail as well.
Priming indicator - This shows that the blaster is primed. It also actually primes the blaster, so keep that! This means you can get somewhere close to the claimed 90ft/27m if you angle the barrel up to give the darts a good arc, but in reality, most will not make it past the 80ft mark without modification. It’s important to note that blasters are better for older players, with a recommended age of 14 and up, although there are a few that are rated for ages 8 and up. Plus, it has versatility to spare. Extended playtime can make an uncomfortable grip unbearable. Look for a toy blaster with a comfortable grip that will make it easy to play longer.
