About this deal

If you want a “fairer” house rule, auction off every player’s property instead of giving it to the person who caused them to go bankrupt. The first known Chao Merchandise are the Chao Plush from Sonic Adventure 1, Dreamcast. There were two series of plushes. In the first series was the Neutral Chao! This was obtained from the UFO catcher machines in Japan and in Sega stores, or via the online Sega store if you lived in the US. (Remember, internet usage wasn't that common in those days!)

These figures come in clear plastic display cubes. You'd originally get them in blind boxes from a Japanese vending machine. Cheese is not to scale with the other characters - he's the same size as everyone else. MONOPOLY Gamer is not just about money. You win by earning the most points. You earn points by collecting Coins, buying Property, and beating Bosses! Build houses on properties if you have a monopoly. If you have a monopoly, you can start to build houses on any of those properties to charge more rent. The building prices are listed on your property deed. You can build up to four houses on each property of your monopoly. [13] X Research source When you roll a Green Shell, the next player on the board, from your position, drops 3 Coins on their current space. If two players are tied for the next player, choose one. Auction property that players choose not to buy. If a player lands on an unowned property but chooses not to buy it, then the property is auctioned and awarded to the highest bidder. This rule is part of the official game but many people omit it at home. [10] X Research source

It was only a matter of time before they did a Sonic The Hedgehog Monopoly. The question is:why did it take so long?? Nothing to do with the upcoming film surely(?) Anyway, it looks good but I'dve still preferred the more traditional format but I guess it works well in the gamer vein. Nominate a player to be the banker. The banker is in charge of all the money, property, houses, and hotels that belong to the bank. The banker can still play the game, but they do need to keep their money separate from the bank’s. Here's an example of how to add up your points. This player owns 3 Properties, beat 2 Bosses, and has 13 Coins. The first Chao Merchandise of course started with the first ever appearance of Chao in Sonic Adventure. The game was first released in Japan in December 1998 and with it, some very cool (and now very rare) Chao products!

Sonic, taking care of yourself is not what being a hero is all about. It's about taking responsibility for other people. And now, whether you wanna hear this or not, you are still just a kid. You got some more growing up to do before you're ready to be a hero. Trust me, there will come a time when your powers will be needed. But you don't choose that moment. That moment chooses you. These are VMU straps! They feature SA1 characters, along with little Chao danglers! These are becoming more difficult to acquire. If you wish to fight the Boss and can afford to pay the roll cost, do so. Most Bosses require you to pay the roll cost to the Bank but some require you to pay the Boss. Sonic X introduced many fans to newcomers Cream and Cheese! Being a main character, Cheese got quite a bit of merchandise. While SA1 had the Neutral Chao and NiGHTS Chao, only the Hero Chao was made for SA2. This Hero Chao was only available in Japan and is also very hard to find now. There is an image for a Dark Chao plush seen on the web during the SA2 era but it was never for sale...

Each monopoly seems to be Act 1 and Act 2 of a zone. For example, the first monopoly is Speed Highway Act 1 and Speed Highway Act 2. I can also make out Chemical Plant, Sky Sanctuary... the others are hard to see. The last pair is Planet Wisp. This image is from Sonic Team HQ. You can see the Hero Chao here has no highlights, and in the full image below, the bottom right of the photo you can see the edge of another Chao plush shown below. These Chao plush's are currently owned by Sachiko Kawamura.

Sonic: I can take care of myself. Tom: Sonic, taking care of yourself is not what being a hero is all about. It's about taking responsibility for other people. And now, whether you wanna hear this or not, you are still just a kid. You got some more growing up to do before you're ready to be a hero. Trust me, there will come a time when your powers will be needed. But you don't choose that moment. That moment chooses you. Sonic: Whoa. Look at you. Look, I just got– I just got goosebumps. Wait a second, did you steal that from Oprah? Tom: No, sir, it's a Wachowski family special. Came from my dad, in this very boat, in this very lake. He would always try and steer me in the right direction. That's what Maddie and I always try to do with you. So, until your moment arrives, I want you to work on being more responsible. Comprende? Sonic: Comprende. High-five on it! Allow each player to select a token to represent them. Each player gets a game piece to move around the board. The game comes with a large selection, but you can also play with any small object. It does not matter what piece you choose as they all serve the same purpose. [4] X Research source The only known Dark Chao plush from this era is the one to the left (from Sonic Team HQ), and one from the Tokyo Game Show for the launch of Sonic Heroes. The Neutral Chao is different to the SA1 Chao also. These were never available for sale. Unfold the board and set out the Chance and Community Chest cards. Unfold the Monopoly board and lay it on a flat surface. Make sure each player has enough space to keep their money and property deeds in front of them. Place the Chance and Community Chest cards on the board in their marked spaces. [3] X Research source Earn points by collecting Coins, buying Property, and beating Bosses. The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins!
